Week 6: Deadline day for the calendar

Today was deadline day for the calendar and we also had to present our final design to the class. I managed to get my calendar finished on time along with all the folder work but I'm not that happy with the quality of the paper for the calendar. The outer amp is fine but for the paper calendar, I went to a local printers in Headingley and the quality is really poor. I actually got it done once and then realised you couldn't see the dates as the circles that they were in were too dark so I had to change all the circles to white and then get it printed again. After looking through the calendar again I could have kicked myself as I forgot to outline the font I used that is similar to the Marshall typography so another font was used instead. It didn't actually look too bad but would have looked better if I had outlined the other font. I will learn from this though and never make the same mistake again. If I do enter my calendar into the competition then I am going to get the pages printed again but on card and also with the correct font on them!

Regarding presenting it to the class, I was rather nervous and once I sat back down I thought of loads of stuff which I forgot to say. Next time we have to do this I will think more about what I have to say by practicing it or maybe writing notes.
